Ann's Baby Journal
9/21/06: New baby journal launched. Please check back often for new entries!
9/21/06: James and I went to the doctor this week on Tuesday for my scheduled check up. The doctor said that everything was looking perfect and the baby's heartbeat was strong and right where it should be. Great news! In a few weeks I have to go back for another normal check up and at that time they are going to do the 3D sonograms so there should be some new pictures real soon.
Also this
week our crib arrived! We are putting it together early next week. It is so
pretty, cherry wood, and very heavy. It looks like this:
All family and friends have been so supportive and the new little one will have lots and lots of love surrounding him upon his arrival, which could not get here any faster, especially since the belly is growing everyday!
We almost have all of the primer on the walls in the nursery and we will start painting the room in the next week or so also! More to come soon...
October 23, 2006: We finally
got back to working on the new nursery this past weekend and got a lot
done.
For those of you who have been to our house, the room was originally dark green
with a tiger wallpaper border going all the way around the room from the
previous owners of the house.
It looked really bad. So the first step was
getting rid of all of that. (you can click on the
pictures to see larger images.). Once that was
finished James, my mom, and I started painting the new baby blue on the walls!
It looks really nice! Next painted the cherry trim and borders to match the
crib! This week we will be putting together the crib, putting up the new ceiling
fan and light, and much more!
Tonight was our first Lamaze class! It was very exciting for both of us and we are really looking forward to learning all we can about childbirth! They talked to us about pre-labor and what to expect and we were actually taught how to calm the father during delivery! Get that!! Please, lets make sure that James stays very calm and doesn't get too excited! Ha Ha. We both get more anxious as time grows near. I am now 32 weeks and very ready for this wonderful experience.

This week the crown molding went up and the crib and 3 drawer combo was put together. The room now looks like this (click on each for larger pictures):
Next week we will be adding the 6 foot giraffe and animal "wallies" that are shown in the picture from Pottery Barn to the walls, along with the drapes, ceiling fan and light, and much more. The nursery is almost complete!
Friday, November 17, 2006: James and Daniel (James friend) did an AMAZING job painting the animals in the baby's room. I am so excited how it looks. (Thank you again Daniel for all of your help!). The animals go all the way around the room and the big giraffe is over 6 feet tall! Here are some new pictures. Click on each to see a larger picture.
I had my normal doctor's appointment this morning and the doctor said everything is looking perfect. The baby's heartbeat is strong and everything looks normal and as it should at this week of being pregnant.
This weekend should be a lot of fun seeing all of my friends and family. I will post again soon!
Friday, December 16, 2006:
Well the end is almost here! Due date is the 22nd, but each day it is starting
to feel like Cole will be here real soon. This past week we put up our Christmas
tree and finished the nursery. We are finally ready for the big arrival! The
last few days have been very hard to sleep, but getting more exciting with each
day. Here are some new pictures from Cole's room. You will notice that our dog
Madison has to try to get into every picture! It is pretty funny.
Hopefully the next time I update this page it will be with pictures of the baby!
